Martin A. Klaus

Martin A. Klaus (* 1938 in Bernau am Chiemsee ) is a German journalist and writer .

Life

After studying communication science in Munich, Klaus began his work as an editor at the Süddeutsche Zeitung , for which he headed the local editorial office in Dachau for 18 years .

During this time he dealt intensively with local figures such as the robber Mathias Kneißl and the writer Ludwig Thoma . He wrote biographies about both of them, and he gained national fame with his book Ludwig Thoma - a fictional life that deals intensively with the traces of Thomas's real fate in his works. In addition, Klaus also wrote hiking books and two plays (in Bavarian ).
