Martin Beckenkamp

Martin Beckenkamp (* 1959 ) is a German psychologist. He is professor of media and business psychology at the University for Media, Communication and Economics (HMKW) in Cologne (formerly Cologne University of Applied Sciences) and vice-rector of the university.

Life

Martin Beckenkamp studied psychology and business administration at the Saarland University until 1987. He also received his doctorate there in 1995. In 2001 Martin Beckenkamp completed his habilitation. From 2001 to 2011 he carried out research at the Max Planck Institute for Research on Collective Goods in Bonn.

He is a member of the International Association for Research in Economic Psychology (IAREP), the International Association for Sustainability in Common Pool Resources (IASCP), founding member and former Vice President of the Society for Applied Business Psychology (GWPs) and the German Society for Psychology (DGPs) Member of the specialist groups “ Environmental Psychology ” and “ Industrial and Organizational Psychology and Social Psychology ”.
