Martin Endress

Martin Endress (born January 28, 1960 in Bochum ) is a German sociologist .

Life

Martin Endreß obtained his master's degree in sociology in 1988 . In 1993 he was promoted to Dr. phil. doctorate , and in 2002 he qualified as a professor in sociology. From 1990 to 1994 Endress was a freelancer at the academy of the Rottenburg-Stuttgart diocese . From 1992 to 1994 Endress worked as a research assistant, first at the University of Tübingen and then from 1994 to 1996 at the Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg . He then took over the management of the social science archive at the University of Konstanz from 1996 to 2000 . From 2000 to 2004 he worked again as a research assistant at the University of Tübingen . This was followed by substitute professorships at the University of Duisburg-Essen and at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal , where Endress was appointed Professor of General Sociology and Social Theory in 2008. In the summer semester 2010, he took over the professorship for general sociology at the University of Trier as the successor to Alois Hahn .

From 1994 to 2004 Martin Endreß was editor of the Alfred Schütz edition. Since 2010 he has been editor of the international journal for philosophy and social sciences - Human Studies and a member of the Leibniz Society of Sciences in Berlin .
