Martin Geffert
Martin Geffert (born March 7, 1922 - † October 4, 2015 in Heppenheim ) was a German amateur astronomer and asteroid discoverer.
Together with Alfred Sturm (1924-2016) he is one of the initiators and founders of the Starkenburg observatory on the Schlossberg in Heppenheim an der Bergstrasse .
The asteroid (17855) Geffert was named after him on March 9, 2001.
