Martin Genahl

Martin Genahl (* 1968 in Stockerau ) is an Austrian writer and composer.

From 1985 to 1989 Genahl studied composition with Rüdiger Seitz in Vienna. He continued his education from 1989 to 1995 at the Institute for Musicology and at the Institute for Numismatics at the University of Vienna . From 1995 to 2001 he completed a doctoral degree in musicology and numismatics and also studied theater studies. Genahl has been a freelance composer since 1989. He has also written novels ( Der Münzmeister , 2011; The day on which it rained capitalists , 2014; Die Chiffren des Schäfers , 2018), short stories, plays, radio plays and libretti.
