Martin Habermann (born January 2, 1943 in Sagan ) is a German politician ( CDU ). From 1990 to 2004 he was a member of the Brandenburg State Parliament .

Life

After school, Habermann trained as a machinist for steam generators and turbine systems. From 1960 he attended the workers and farmers faculty of the TH Dresden and then studied thermal engineering at the university . From 1968 to 1991 he worked at the Institute for Power Plants in Vetschau . In 2016 he was made an honorary citizen of his hometown “as an expression of recognition for his life's work and in recognition of his outstanding achievements and services to the benefit of the city of Lübbenau / Spreewald ”. Habermann is married and has three children.

Habermann has been a member of the CDU since February 1990 . In 1990 he was elected to the Brandenburg State Parliament for the first time as a direct candidate for the Calau II - Senftenberg II constituency. There he was a member of the main committee. In the state elections in 1994 and 1999, he also succeeded in entering the state parliament, this time through the state list. In all three legislative periods he was Vice President of the State Parliament. In addition, Habermann was a member of the 10th and 12th and a substitute member of the 11th Federal Assembly .

Until 2016, Habermann was a long-term member of the Lübbenau city council and chairman of the CDU parliamentary group.
