Martin Hess

Martin Heß (* 1965 ) is a German economic geographer . He studied economic geography, sociology and spatial planning in Bamberg and Munich . In 1992 he passed his diploma, in 1998 he was awarded a Dr. oec. publ. PhD. From 1992 to 1998 he was a research assistant at the Institute for Economic Geography, Seminar for International Economic Areas and Business Location Research at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich with Hans-Dieter Haas . From 1998 he was a research assistant at the same institute. He is a lecturer at the University of Manchester . Among other things, Heß publishes on Bavaria's economic structure , the internationalization of the economy and the East German rail vehicle industry .
