Saveus (born October 9, 1992 in Ørum ), real name Martin Hoberg Hedegaard , is a Danish singer who won the first Danish season of the talent show X-Factor on March 28, 2008. At 15, he's the youngest winner of an X-Factor talent show .
biography
Hedegaard was born in 1992 in Ørum, Denmark, a small town in the center of Jutland. Before joining X-Factor in 2008 , he took singing lessons and performed in a school musical.
X-Factor
The three jury members (Lina Rafn, Remee and Thomas Blachman) were spontaneously enthusiastic about Martin after his lecture. After his first audition, Remee stood up and shook his hand with the words "before he becomes a superstar". Later in the live shows, he kept delighting the jury and the audience with songs like Kiss from a Rose , Somebody to Love or Goodbye My Lover .
On March 28th he was in the final against his opponent Laura . With the songs The 1 , For Once in My Life and Somebody to Love he convinced the audience and won the season of X-Factor.
Publications as Martin
His first single to hit the music stores was his winning song The 1 , which climbed to the top of the Danish charts from zero and stayed at number 1 for four weeks. In the first week of June his first album Show the World hit the charts and also landed right at the top. It has been awarded double platinum with over 60,000 copies sold. Martin also released his second single from this album . Like the first single and the album, Show the World went straight to number one and stayed there for four weeks.
Between October 31 and December 6, 2008, he completed his second tour. He was traveling in eleven cities in Denmark.
Comeback as Saveus
After that it was quiet about the singer for a long time. He did not return to the stage until he was 23 and from then on he called himself Saveus . With the single Levitate Me he had another chart hit in 2015 under the new name. The songs Ready To Die , Himalaya and Everchanging achieved gold awards in 2020 .
