Martin Kollenberg

Martin Kollenberg (born June 13, 1965 in Gütersloh ) is a former German football player . The defender was active for Arminia Bielefeld , SG Wattenscheid 09 and Preußen Münster .

Kollenberg began his career at Westfalia Neuenkirchen and then played for SVA Gütersloh . After the merger of SVA Gütersloh with the DJK Gütersloh, he played in the newly formed FC Gütersloh . In 1986 he made his professional debut for Arminia Bielefeld in the 2nd Bundesliga . After the club was relegated to the league in 1988, Kollenberg moved to SG Wattenscheid 09. With Wattenscheid he was runner-up in the 2nd Bundesliga in the 1989/90 season and thus made it to the 1st Bundesliga . Kollenberg, however, moved to Preußen Münster, with whom he was relegated from the 2nd Bundesliga in 1991. Then he returned to Arminia Bielefeld. In 1995 Kollenberg rose with his team to the 2nd Bundesliga, but moved to VfL Osnabrück , where he ended his career during the 1995/96 season.

In 127 second division games he scored 13 goals. Today Kollenberg works for the sports marketing company Sportfive , where he is responsible for Arminia Bielefeld.
