Martin Leicht

Martin Leicht (born March 8, 1940 in Gütersloh ; † August 22, 1998 in Münster ) was a Westphalian entrepreneur.

Life

In addition to his medical studies, Martin Leicht began selling Ista heat cost allocators and then founded the company HTH-Haustechnische Handelsgesellschaft mbH, which later renamed ista-haustechnik GmbH.

In addition to his entrepreneurial activities, Martin Leicht was district chairman of the CDU in Münster, deputy state chairman of the economic association of the CDU in North Rhine-Westphalia, from 1982 to 1987 president of the working group of self-employed entrepreneurs (ASU) and deputy chairman of the Economic Society for Westphalia and Lippe e. V. He created the Westphalian Peace Prize , which the Economic Society for Westphalia and Lippe e. V. donated “350 years of Westphalian peace” on the occasion of the anniversary.

Shortly before his death, Martin Leicht ordered the establishment of the Westphalia Initiative Foundation for personal responsibility and common good for most of his assets .
