Martin Litsch

Martin Litsch (born June 21, 1957 in Trier ) is a German manager in the field of statutory health insurance .

Life

Litsch studied sociology and economics in his hometown Trier . His first professional station was the University of Trier , where he was employed as a research assistant. In 1989 Litsch switched to the AOK Scientific Institute (WIdO) . There he led projects on drug market research, hospitals and other health care issues; In 1998 he took over the management of the institute.

After further positions in the AOK Federal Association as head of change management and as managing director of AOK Consult , Litsch first became an authorized representative in 2002 and from 2008 chairman of the board of AOK Westfalen-Lippe. Under his leadership, AOK Westfalen-Lippe merged with AOK Schleswig-Holstein in 2010 to form AOK Nordwest .

In July 2015, after the resignation of the board members Jürgen Graalmann and Uwe Deh, Litsch took over provisional management of the AOK federal association in Berlin-Mitte together with the chairman of the board of AOK Nordost , Frank Michalak. On November 26, 2015, he was elected by the association's supervisory board as managing director and has been in this position since January 1, 2016.

Litsch is a member of the Board of Trustees of the White List . He is married to a psychologist and has two grown sons.
