Martin Nischalke

Martin Nischalke (born August 20, 1882 in Trebschen ; † January 21, 1962 ) was a German politician ( SPD ) and a member of the Hessian state parliament .

education and profession

Nischalke studied after attending elementary school and the teacher training institute from 1911 to 1913 and after passing the state exams worked as a teacher in higher education, as a school councilor and government councilor.

politics

Martin Nischalke had been a member of the SPD since 1921. He was a co-founder and board member of the Reichsbanner Schwarz-Rot-Gold . With the " seizure of power " by the National Socialists, he was dismissed and worked illegally from 1933 to 1945.

On May 1, 1945, Nischalke was first appointed by the American military authorities as deputy to Hans Bredow and, from August 1, 1945, as president of the Wiesbaden district . He held this office until 1948.

From July 15, 1946 to November 30, 1946 he was a member of the state assembly of Greater Hesse that advised the constitution . From December 1, 1946 to November 30, 1950 he was a member of the first Hessian state parliament.

Other offices

Martin Nischalke was the first chairman of the Broadcasting Council of the Hessian Broadcasting Corporation from 1946 to 1950 .
