Martin Ogilvie

Martin Ogilvie (born April 11, 1946 in Walthamstow , Essex ) is a British engineer, automobile constructor and car designer, who was best known for his work for the Lotus team in Formula 1.

Ogilvie gained his first experience in the aerodynamic design of gliders . After a detour he finally found Formula 1. There he was hired by Colin Chapman for his team as an engineer, later chief designer. His achievements included u. a. the Lotus 72 , one of the most successful Formula 1 cars.
