Martin Roemers

Martin Roemers (born August 21, 1962 in Oldehove , Netherlands ) is a Dutch photographer.

Life

Roemers studied at the AKI (Academy for Art and Industry) , Enschede in the Netherlands. He became known through his photo reports, exhibitions and the resulting photo books. He is a two-time winner of the World Press Photo Awards.

Roemers lives and works in Delft , the Netherlands .

Prizes and awards

  • 2006: Second Prize at World Press Photo for his portraits Never-Ending War .
  • 2011: First prize at World Press Photo for his work Metropolis .
