Martin U. Waltz
Martin U. Waltz (* 1962 in Heidelberg ) is a German photographer and author living in Berlin .
life and work
Martin Ulrich Waltz studied economics at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg and the Freie Universität Berlin from 1982 to 1989 and then worked in several companies as a commercial clerk.
Martin U. Waltz has been working exclusively as a photographer since 2014. Martin U. Waltz photographs with a focus on street photography and urban photography. For Martin U. Waltz, street photography is a reflection on the human condition . Berlin is at the center of his work.
Waltz's work can be seen in numerous group and individual exhibitions. To mark the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, he showed the exhibitions “La Reprise” in the Franco-German Cultural Center in Nice and the “Berlin without Wall” project in the Berlin Apple Store. At the exhibition "Berlin - 30 Years Later" u. a. with Rudi Meissel and Harald Hauswald , Martin U. Waltz was involved with a picture from the memories series with a picture in the exhibition catalog.
Martin U. Waltz is the co-author of several books on street photography . He is one of the editors of the German street photography website and curator of the German Street Photography Festival.
