Martin Völschow
Martin Völschow , called the Younger , (born January 16, 1546 in Greifswald ; † July 20, 1613 there ) was Mayor of Greifswald.
Life
Martin Völschow III. was the sixth child of councilor Johann Völschow († 1560) and Anna Stevelin, daughter of the mayor Johann Stevelin. From 1607 he was a member of the city council and was provisional for the Heilig-Geist-Hospital and the Georgs-Hospital. In 1607 he was elected mayor of Greifswald and in 1612 appointed "consiliarius provincialis". The following year he died of a respiratory disease.
Martin Völschow was first married to Anna von Lepel († 1577), a daughter of Paul von Lepel († 1576). The marriage had three sons and one daughter. In his second marriage he was married to Gertrud, a daughter of the mayor Johann Engelbrecht .
