Martin Willmann

Martin Willmann (born November 1, 1979 in Siegen ) is a former German soccer player .

The Siegerländer comes from the youth of the DJK Sportfreunde Eiserfeld and learned to play football in the youth game community JSG Eiserfeld-Eiserntal . From 2000 to 2002 he played victories in the regional league for Sportfreunde . For the 2002/03 season he moved to TSV 1860 Munich , where he was used in the second team ( Bayernliga ). From Munich he went to the second division promoted Jahn Regensburg , where his former Siegen trainer Ingo Peter was now a trainer. For East Bavaria he played 24 games in the second division in the 2003/04 season and was also part of the team that eliminated Bundesliga club VfL Bochum in the DFB Cup and was only eliminated in the round of 16 on penalties against MSV Duisburg .

After the direct relegation of Regensburg, Willmann moved to the regional league newcomer TuS Koblenz , where he was a regular player in the 2004/05 season. In 2005 he went to league rivals SV Wehen , where the 1.93 meter tall striker was also part of the permanent staff for the next two years; of the 68 league games since joining, he only missed four. For the second half of the 2007/08 season, Willmann moved to Sportvereinigung 07 Elversberg in the Regionalliga Süd . On June 5, 2008, he extended his contract to June 30, 2010. In the event of promotion to the 3rd division, a corresponding option was included in the contract. The promotion was missed, however, so that the sports association 07 Elversberg took up in the 2008/09 season in the fourth-class Regionalliga West.

In the 2012/13 season he played for TSV Schott Mainz in the Association League Southwest . During this season he scored seven goals. He was also under contract there in 2013/14. Up to and including the 18th matchday, he scored another goal. At the beginning of July 2014 Willmann switched to the Hessian amateur club SG Orlen. There he ended his career at the end of the 2015/16 season.

Awards

In April 2001, he emerged from the ARD monthly poll for goal of the month thanks to a goal for Sportfreunde Siegen in the Regionalliga game against the VfB Stuttgart Amateurs .
