Martina Maaßen , also Martina Maaßen-Pyritz, (born August 9, 1963 in Viersen ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen Nordrhein-Westfalen ).

biography

Martina Maaßen graduated with a degree in social pedagogy and obtained a degree in social economics.

politics

Maaßen has represented her party in the city council of Viersen since 1999, where she is group leader. On May 9, 2010 and May 13, 2012 , she was elected to the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia via the state list of her party .

Since 2010 she has been the spokeswoman for the Greens in the Committee for Labor, Health and Social Affairs and labor market policy spokeswoman for the Green parliamentary group. She was also a member of the Petitions Committee.

In the state elections in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2017 , she ran as a direct candidate without a place on the list , but was not elected.
