Martina Sahler (* 1963 ) is a German writer. In addition to her real name, she has also published under the pseudonyms Lena Beckmann and Enie van Aanthuis (with co-author Hendrik Gruner) and as a ghostwriter .

Life

Sahler graduated from high school in Leverkusen in 1982, worked as a reporter for the Kölnische Rundschau and studied German and Scandinavian studies in Cologne . After a traineeship in the Lübbe publishing group , she worked for the Bergisch Gladbacher Verlag until 1990 as a permanent editor. Since then she has been a freelance writer and editor.

She writes books for young people and historical novels for various publishers (Thienemann, Carlsen, Weltbild, Knaur, List and others). Her novels, published since 1996, have a total circulation of over 700,000 and a. Translated into Italian, Dutch and Polish. For her novel White Nights, Far Land , she was awarded the HOMER Silver Prize for Literature in 2014.

Sahler is married and has two children. She lives in the Bergisches Land near Cologne.
