Martino Matronola
Martino Matronola OSB (born November 2, 1903 in Cassino ; † May 20, 1994 ) was Abbot Bishop of Montecassino in Italy.
Life
He was ordained a Benedictine priest on September 29, 1929 . On May 24, 1971 he was elected Archabbot of Montecassino by the convent of the monastery to succeed Ildefonso Rea . During his tenure, Pope Paul VI appointed him. on March 21, 1977 titular bishop of Turres in Numidia . He was ordained bishop by Curia Cardinal Sebastiano Baggio on May 8, 1977. He resigned as Abbot Bishop of Montecassino on January 8, 1983.
