The Martin Place in the Grisons canton capital Chur lies in the slow traffic reserved Old Town, between the lower and upper gate . It belongs to the oldest surviving part of Chur, formed the central point of the historical transit axis through the city and, as evidenced in the early Middle Ages, served as a cargo handling point.

It is dominated by the Martinskirche as the reformed main church of the city, from which it also got its name. In front of the church tower is the Martinsbrunnen , which is crowned by a sculpture of Martin von Tours in military clothing.

The house on Martinsplatz with its richly decorated facade is - despite the name - already part of the neighboring square, des Arcas' .
