Martinszell (Obersüßbach)

Martinszell in Lower Bavaria is a village with 40 inhabitants (as of 2016). It belongs to the municipality of Obersüßbach and the parish of Volkenschwand .

The Martinszell Volunteer Fire Brigade is on site.

history

In Martinszell there was a clearing monastery around 800 years ago, which also founded the surrounding villages.

Before the community reform in the 1970s, Martinszell was an independent community in the Mainburg district . Parts of Martinszell came to the Volkenschwand community on May 1, 1978 as part of the municipal reform.

Attractions

In Martinszell there is a branch church, named after St. Martin , of the parish church of St. Giles in Volkenschwand.
