history

Barrows near Niedersüßbach from around 1800 to 1200 BC BC indicate the early settlement of the area. In the year 814 a noble abbot Richpald bequeathed 14 Meierhöfe in Sezpah (Ober / Niedersüßbach) to the monastery of St. Emmeram in Regensburg . From around 1060 to 1615 the Kärgel family was dominant in Süssbach and Furth . In 1599 there were two whole, three half and four quarter courtyards in the Hofmark Niedersüßbach. The successors to the Kärgl were the Gumppenberg . When the heiress Maria Johanna von Gumppenberg married Johann Wilhelm von Lerchenfeld, the property came into the hands of Lerchenfeld in 1686 . They were followed in 1793 by the Barons von Wadenspann and then the Barons von Hornstein .

The Hornstein estate of Niedersüßbach, which had had a manorial court since 1818, was granted permission on April 13, 1821 to set up a 2nd class patrimonial court on Niedersüßbach. Niedersüßbach, although part of the Obersüßbach community, initially belonged to the Mallersdorf-Pfaffenberg district court when the community was formed , but on February 28, 1823, Abraham and Girstham were assigned to the Moosburg district court .
