Marusia Lyubcheva

Marusja Iwanowa Lyubchewa (Bulgarian: Маруся Любчева, born July 20, 1949 in Mitrowzi , Montana Oblast ) is a Bulgarian politician in the coalition for Bulgaria .

Career

After attending secondary school, Lyubcheva obtained the title of chemical engineer at a university and obtained a doctorate in medicine. rer. tech. After her time as a doctoral candidate at the Assen Slatarow University in Burgas , she initially worked as a research assistant, later as a lecturer and dean and headed the chair for materials science.

Lyubcheva was a member of the Burgas municipal council , from 1995 to 2005 she was deputy mayor. In 2005 she entered the National Assembly . In the run-up to Bulgaria's accession to the European Union , she moved into the European Parliament as an observer at the beginning of 2007 . On January 1, 2007, she received a full European mandate. Her mandate was confirmed at the by-election that became necessary . In 2009 she missed moving back in, but moved up in August 2013 for Kristian Wigenin who had left.
