Marvin Braun (born January 11, 1982 in Ludwigsburg ) is a former German soccer player . Today he works as a freelance personal trainer and as an athletics trainer in the youth performance center of FC St. Pauli.

Career

In his youth he played for the Swabian regional league club TSV Asperg, where he learned to play football. For the 2001/02 season, Braun received his first professional contract with VfB Stuttgart . There he played his only Bundesliga game on April 14, 2002, when he came on for Christian Tiffert in the 88th minute of the game against Energie Cottbus . Since he was otherwise only used in the second team of VfB, he moved to local rivals Stuttgarter Kickers to become a regular there. Two seasons later he moved to FC Augsburg . Since he did not play there regularly, he went back to the Stuttgarter Kickers in 2005. There he was again a regular player and recommended himself for a move to FC St. Pauli . There he made it to the 2nd Bundesliga in his first season.

After Braun achieved relegation to league 2 with the Hamburg team in the 2007/08 season, he signed a one-year contract with league rival VfL Osnabrück . Since the club's option to extend the contract for another year was not drawn, Braun switched to the new season at Wuppertaler SV Borussia , where he ended his career in 2010. In his ten professional years, Marvin Braun made 198 league appearances and scored 36 goals.
