Michaela Merten , née Mazac (born July 31, 1964 in Karlovy Vary , Czechoslovakia ) is a German actress , singer , motivational speaker , entrepreneur and author .

Life

Mazac grew up in Stuttgart and Munich , where she came to the theater through ballet . She completed her acting training at the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna . Since 1985 she has played several roles in television productions, including eleven guest appearances in Der Alte , seven in Siska and two guest roles each in Derrick and Ein Fall für Zwei . Michaela Merten became known from 1997 through her leading role in the family series Katrin ist die Beste . Since 2004 she has mainly worked as an author of guides and as an audio book speaker.

On her album Ich , released in 1999, she sings twelve songs written by her husband. Up for you! (2006) she reads twelve classic German love poems, underlaid with lounge music . She composed and produced her album Angels love you (2010) together with Sebastian Padotzke, keyboard player of the band Reamonn .

She has been married to fellow actor Pierre Franckh since 1992 ; the couple has a daughter. Together with her husband Pierre Franckh, she has taken on the patronage of the Living Lakes project of the international Global Nature Fund , which deals with the topics of environmental protection, sustainable development and the protection of freshwater reserves.

Since March 2011 she has been a cooperation partner of the marketing initiative for health tourism med in Germany .
