Marwang is a district of the municipality of Grabenstätt in the Upper Bavarian district of Traunstein .

history

The church village was first mentioned in the late 8th century in the Notitia Arnonis of the Archdiocese of Salzburg . The local noble family, which is mentioned in the 14th century, was followed by several families on the private seat of Marwang. In 1625 Ladislaus von Törring zu Stein acquired the property in the village. This then remained in the hands of different Törringer lines.
