Mary Antonine Goodchild

Mary Antonine Goodchild (* 1873 ; † 1945 ) was an American music teacher.

The Dominican sister studied school music education at Columbia University (MA 1935). She has taught at many elementary schools, most recently at Visitation High School in Chicago and Rosary College in River Forest. She was instrumental in the training program for music teachers of the Sinsinawa Sisters and published a music textbook for schools in Chicago and Minneapolis. Her songbook Gregorian Chant for Church and School was widely used in denominational schools . She composed three pieces for female choir: Ave Maria , Sub Tuum and Memorare .
