Mary Ehlinger

Mary Ehlinger (* 1954 ) is an American actress and composer.

Ehlinger graduated from St. Norbert College in 1974 with a bachelor's degree in piano and singing and then studied music at Louisiana State University . She has appeared in shows such as The Underpents , Smoke on the Mountain , Honky Tonk Angels , Swingtime Canteen , Always Patsy Cline , Radion Gals , Nunsense and The Guest Lecturer and others. a. at the George Street Playhouse (directed by John Rando ), the Old Globe , the Actors Theater of Louisville , the Florida Studio and the Berkshire Theater Festival and has worked on off-Brodway productions such as Cowgirls , Oil City Symphony and the American premiere of The Return to the Forbidden Planet . She is the musical director of The Fireside Dinner Theater in Fort Atkinson.

In addition to mini musicals such as Percy, the poor little penguin , which ran from 2001 to 2005 at Macy's Puppet Theater (with Jon Secada ), Ehlinger composed songs that include a. sung by Julie Andrews , Florence Henderson , Harvey Fierstein , Joanne Worley , Ruth Buzzi , Donna McKechnie , Roger Bart , and Walter Cronkite . The New York Pops 28th Birthday Gala at Carnegie Hall opened with her composition When Hope Is There . Between 2006 and 2008 her musical Moose Crossing ran . In 2007 her commissioned choral work When Hope Is There premiered. The musical The Music Boys was created in collaboration with Bill Schermerhorn and Milton Delug .
