Mary Miller (born June 9, 1977 in Texas ) is an American author .

Life

Mary Miller studied literature at the University of Southern Mississippi and now lives in Austin . She is the author of two collections of short stories. Less Shiny (2008) is a so-called short Chapbook , while Big World (2009) was published by Short Flight / Long Drive Books , which is affiliated with the American literary magazine Hobart . Individual short stories were translated into German and appeared in the magazine Krachkultur . Miller's debut novel Sweet King Jesus was first published in 2013 in the German translation by Alissa Walser , and in 2014 it was published in the English original as The Last Days of California .
