Werner Loch-Lawrence

Werner Loch-Lawrence (born 1956 ) is a German translator .

Life

Werner Loch studied journalism, literature and philosophy and worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Communication Studies and Media Research at the University of Munich . Loch-Lawrence then worked as a lecturer and program manager at the publishers Bertelsmann , Hoffmann and Campe and the Deutsche Verlags-Anstalt . Loch-Lawrence has been a freelance literary agent and literary translator since 2002.

Loch Lawrence has works by John Boyne , Patricia Duncker , Carson Ellis , Nathan Englander , Mireille Guiliano , Lawrence Hill , Nathan Hill , Erik Larson , Robert Littell , James McBride , Lisa McInerney , Ann Patchett , Lionel Shriver , Rex Stout , Jane Urquhart , Meg Wolitzer and Alexi Zentner translated from English.

He is the main translator for Hilary Mantel . In 2002, together with Martin Brinkmann , Loch-Lawrence published the anthology 20 under 30. Young German authors .
