Mary Murphy

Mary Murphy (born January 26, 1931 in Washington, DC - † May 4, 2011 in Beverly Hills , California ) was an American actress .

Life

After finishing high school in 1949, she signed a contract with Paramount Pictures and made her film debut in 1951. Films followed alongside Laurence Olivier , Jennifer Jones , Dean Martin , Robert Taylor and others. Murphy had the greatest successes of her career in 1953 alongside Marlon Brando in Der Wilde and in 1955 alongside Humphrey Bogart in A Day Like Any Other . From the 1960s onwards she was mainly seen on television. B. in series episodes such as Alfred Hitchcock Presents and Auf der Flucht . In 1975 she withdrew into private life.

Mary Murphy married actor Dale Robertson in 1956 , but they divorced that same year.
