Mary Proctor
Mary Proctor (* 1862 , Dublin ; † September 11, 1957 ) was an Irish- born American astronomer and writer .
She was the daughter of Richard Anthony Proctor , a well-known author. Like her father, Mary Proctor wrote many articles for newspapers and wrote a number of popular science astronomical works.
In her memory, the lunar crater Proctor was named after her (the Martian crater Proctor was named after her father).
