Mary Tinney

Mary Catherine Tinney († November 22, 2006 in Dublin ) was an Irish diplomat.

In 1973 she was appointed Irish Ambassador to Sweden and Finland . Tinney was the first woman to represent Ireland in the rank of ambassador. During her further diplomatic career she was ambassador to Poland , Belgium and Kenya .
