List of structures in Heiligendamm
The list of buildings in Heiligendamm gives an overview of the architecture of Heiligendamm , a district of the city of Bad Doberan in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania on the Baltic coast . The table contains all architectural monuments as well as a selection of other significant structures.
Founded in 1793 as the first German seaside resort by Friedrich Franz I , Johann Christoph Heinrich von Seydewitz , Carl Theodor Severin and Georg Adolph Demmler created a classical ensemble of lodging, bathing and social houses until the 1870s , which Heiligendamm was nicknamed " White City by the Sea ”. The historic town center was acquired in 1996 by the development company Heiligendamm (ECH), which belongs to the Fundus Group and which has already had the first buildings renovated.
As of 2010, a not inconsiderable part of the historic building is empty and in ruins.
In the list of monuments in Bad Doberan are the registered monuments of Heiligendamm.
