Maryann DeLeo

Maryann DeLeo (* 20th century ) is a film producer and director in the field of documentary film , who was awarded an Oscar in 2004.

Career

DeLeo started working as a producer in the film business in the 1980s. She has worked on the television documentaries Third Avenue: Only the Strong Survive and One Year in a Life of Crime , which were broadcast by CBS , NBC and HBO . She gained greater prominence in 2004 when she received the Oscar for her short documentary film Chernobyl Heart at the Academy Awards . This was followed by other documentaries in which she was responsible as director and producer, such as White Horse from 2008, Julian and Michael from 2011 and most recently in 2015 Daughters of Mother India .
