Masaaki Ueda
Masaaki Ueda (born January 3, 1952 ) is an Austrian judoka of Japanese origin.
biography
Masaaki Ueda fought for the JC Manner judo club . After his naturalization, he signed up for the Army Sports Center and was a member of the Austrian national team . The Japanese Olympic Committee refused to allow them to participate in the Olympic Games . Masaaki Ueda was one of the best judoka in its class in the 1980s. After his active career, he completed his training as a coach and has been working at the Südstadt performance center since 1989 . The former Olympians Eric Krieger and Claudia Heill are among his most successful athletes .

Ueda was able to achieve the following successes in the 65 kg weight class:
- 1st place Military World Championship Colorado 1981
- 3rd place Military World Championship São Paulo 1983
- 3rd place in the Hungaria Cup Budapest 1981
- multiple Austrian champion
