Masafumi Maeda ( Japanese 前 田 雅 文 Maeda Masafumi ; born January 25, 1983 in Shiga Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Maeda learned to play football on the school team at Yasu High School and the university team at Kansai University . He signed his first contract with Gamba Osaka in 2005 . The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . With the club he became Japanese champion in 2005 . In 2007 he won the J.League Cup with the club . For the club he completed 38 first division games. In 2008 he moved to the second division Ventforet Kofu . For the club he completed 16 league games. In 2010 he moved to league competitor Thespa Kusatsu . For the club he completed 16 league games. At the end of 2011 he ended his career as a football player.
