Masaya Honda ( Japanese 本田 将 也 , Honda Masaya ; born November 20, 1973 in Osaka Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .
Career
Honda learned to play soccer on the school team at Nitta High School and the university team at Kinki University . He signed his first contract with Kyoto Purple Sanga in 1996 . The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . For the club he completed 33 first division games. At the end of 1999 he ended his career as a football player.
