Masingini Forest

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Masingini Forest (German: Masingini Forest ) is a 1,800 hectare forest on the island of Zanzibar . It is located northeast of the island's capital, Zanzibar City , near the city of Bububu . The Masingini Forest is, along with the Jozani Forest, one of the most important forest areas on the densely populated island of Zanzibar, which is relatively poorly forested due to intensive agriculture and plantation management. In the Unguja Mjini Magharibi region , it is the only relevant forest area. The forest area with its springs (Bububu Springs) is the most important drinking water supply area for the urban drinking water supply of the island capital.
