history

Takushi began making recordings in 1987 , which he released on the Coquette label between 1989 and 1990 on several music cassettes . Then he released several 7 " records , which had a print run of 1 to 10 pieces and were made on a portable cutting machine. Gradually, Masonna became more and more famous and landed on various samplers .

In addition to Masonna, Takushi and Fusao , an Angel in Heavy Syrup member, run the band Christine 23 Onna , who do psychedelic rock .

Masonna is also known for performing live with Takushi running around and jumping. In doing so, he usually destroys his equipment and sustains physical injuries to himself. According to his own statements, he tries to give everything at a concert and as soon as he noticed that his performance was slowing down, he would stop the performance immediately.

He also appeared on the famous radio DJ John Peel and one of his concerts was partially broadcast on MTV .

Collaborations with Merzbow , Wrzelstirn & Gurgelstock , KK Null , Violent Onsen Geisha and others took place. He has also supported concerts by Sonic Youth , Beck , Blixa Bargeld and other well-known bands in Japan.
