The Borovo Naselje massacre took place in the Croatian War during the Battle of Vukovar in November 1991. Borovo Naselje is a northern district of Vukovar ( Eastern Slavonia ) and a workers' settlement of the local shoe factory Borovo .

A section of the Vukovar hospital was located in the basement of the Borovo Commerce company . When the city's defense fell in November 1991, around 200 were seriously injured. In addition, there were a few hundred civilian refugees from the workers' settlement.

According to the victims' associations, Serbian attackers kidnapped more than 100 captured defenders and civilians after taking the Borovo settlement on November 19. Some of them were killed on Trpinja Street ( Trpinjska cesta ) in Borovo Naselje. The bodies of those killed were thrown into the Danube .

186 Croatian defenders died defending the workers' settlement, including 27 policemen from Varaždin . 410 residents of Borovo Naselje died in the Serbian attack on Vukovar. This made up about ten percent of the population of this district before the war.
