The Massey Heights are a striking, flat-topped ridge with steep cliffs on the West Antarctic James Ross Island . They rise 10 km southwest of Andreassen Point . The 844 m high Cerro Ortega is one of them .
The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS) carried out surveys in 1945 and 1955. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named them in 1957 after Paul Mackintosh Orgill Massey (1926-2009), a rowing participant in the Olympic Games in 1948 and 1952 and a doctor of the FIDS on the Hope Bay station in 1955.
