The Cerro Ortega ( Spanish , in Argentina Cerro Padre ) is a 844  m high hill in the northeast of the West Antarctic James Ross Island . It rises at the north end of Massey Heights on the west bank of Croft Bay .

Chilean scientists named him after Francisco Ortega, chaplain in the Chilean Air Force and participant in the 17th Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1962–1963). The Argentine name from 1978 is based on the spiritual office of the Chilean namesake.
