Massimo Pilotti (1927)

Massimo Pilotti (born August 1, 1879 in Rome ; † April 29, 1962 there ) was an Italian lawyer.

Pilotti studied law and became a judge in 1901. In 1944 he became president of the International Institute for Private Law Harmonization and in 1949 a member of the Hague Permanent Court of Arbitration . From 1952 to 1958 he was the first President of the European Court of Justice .
