Matías Augusto Pérez García (born October 13, 1984 in Tartagal ) is an Argentine football player who is mostly used as a midfielder . He has been under contract with the San José Earthquakes since July 2014 .

Club career

Pérez García began his career with his youth club CA Lanús in the Argentine first division . After he could not assert himself there, he moved to the second-rate clubs CAI Comodoro Rivadavia and CA Talleres for several years . In 2007 he moved to Uruguay and played there for Club Atlético Cerro . After two loans in Argentina and France, he signed a contract in Chile with CF Universidad de Chile . When he didn’t get the time he had hoped for there either, he went back to Argentina and played there for another three years for the All Boys and CA Tigre .

On July 31, he signed a contract with the US first division club San José Earthquakes . On August 8, 2014, he completed his first competitive game in Major League Soccer against Los Angeles Galaxy , in which he also scored his first goal for the Earthquakes.
