Mateo de la Tijera
Mateo de la Tijera (* in the Mexican state of Hidalgo ) is a former Mexican soccer player who played in attacking midfield .
career
De la Tijera began his career probably with his hometown club CF Pachuca when this was represented in the second division in the seasons 1950/51 and 1951/52 .
In the 1952/53 season he was with Deportivo Toluca FC under contract, with whom he won the championship of the second-rate Segunda División and made promotion to the Mexican Primera División , to which the Diablos Rojos have been a part ever since.
In the following first division season 1953/54 De la Tijera played for the CD Zacatepec . At least between 1955 and 1958 he was then under contract with Club León , with whom he won the league title in 1956 and the Copa México two years later .
