Mathews Mar Thimothios
Mathews Mar Thimothios (born May 3, 1963 in Mavelikara , Alappuzha , Kerala , India ) is Metropolitan of the United Kingdom, Europe and Africa of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church .
He graduated from Serampore College. He graduated from the Pontifical Biblical Institute in Jerusalem with a degree in Biblical Archeology and received a doctorate from the Pontifical University of Saint Thomas Aquinas in Rome. On February 19, 2009, he was ordained bishop by Baselios Marthoma Didymos I in St. George's Church in Puthuppally.
