Mathias Hove Johansen (born September 27, 1998 in Stavanger ) is a Norwegian athlete who specializes in sprinting .

Athletic career

Mathias Hove Johansen gained his first international experience in 2015 when he retired from the World Youth Championships in Cali in the 200 meter run with 22.05 seconds in the first round and also with the mixed 4 x 400 meter relay in 3 : 32.95 min did not reach the final. The following year he reached the semi-finals at the U20 World Championships in Bydgoszcz over 200 meters and was eliminated there with 21.19 s, as well as at the U20 European Championships the following year in Grosseto with 21.57 s. In 2019 he finished eighth in 21.38 s at the U23 European Championships in Gävle .

In 2019 Johansen became Norwegian champion in the 200-meter run outdoors and in 2019 and 2020 also indoors.
