Mathilde Waldhauser
Mathilde Waldhauser ( 1830 in Stuttgart - July 5, 1849 ibid) was a German opera singer ( soprano ).
Life
Her voice developed earlier than usual, so that she could turn to the stage at the age of 16. As “ Queen of the Night ”, “ Night Walker”, “Daughter of the Regiment”, “Zerlina”, “Margarethe” and “Princess” in “ Robert the Devil ”, she was one of the first singers in the court theater . On June 24, 1848 she was still singing “Anna” in “The White Woman” to stormy applause, when she suddenly and completely unexpectedly died at the age of only 19 years.
